STPS announces work suspension schedule for the year 2025

On December 26, 2024, the Official Gazette of the Federation published the AGREEMENT announcing the schedule for the suspension of work of the Secretariat of Labor and Social Security and its Deconcentrated Administrative Body, for the year 2025 (STPS).

In accordance with the provisions of the Federal Administrative Procedure Act, for the purposes of administrative acts and procedures that are pending before the STPS and its Deconcentrated Administrative Body, the following days of the year 2025 will be considered non-working, in addition to Saturdays and Sundays:

  • 01 of January; for New Year.
  • 03 of February; for the anniversary of the enactment of the CPEUM.
  • 17 of March; by the birth of Benito Juárez.
  • 17 of April; for Maundy Thursday.
  • 18 of April; for Good Friday.
  • 01 of may; per work day.
  • 05 of may; for the battle of Puebla.
  • 25 of June; per day of the STPS employee (basic staff only).
  • 16 of September; for the independence of Mexico.
  • 17 of November; for the anniversary of the Mexican Revolution.
  • 25 of December; for Christmas Day.

Reiterating that these days will not be counted for corresponding deadlines and terms in the initiation and substantiation of administrative procedures.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, it should be considered that the days and hours that are necessary may be enabled to give attention to matters whose urgency and relevance merit it, at the discretion of the head of the corresponding Administrative Unit.
